The Estate & Asset Protection Planning Visit is scheduled to allow us to have a leisurely, focused 2 to 3 hour discussion with you to learn as much about your specific dangers, opportunities, and strengths that are motivating your planning considerations. You are welcome to bring your other trusted legal, accounting, or financial advisors to our Estate & Asset Protection Planning Visit. (Please Note: If you have matters concerning which you would wish to preserve the attorney-client privilege, those items should be discussed between us privately, outside the presence of any third parties).
This discussion provides an excellent opportunity for us to solidify our attorney-client relationship and showcase the custom nature of our Estate & Asset Protection Planning solutions. An additional purpose of this meeting is to present our Professional Evaluation of what we learned during our Professional Evaluation of the materials that you provided to us when Gathering your Estate.
If we mutually agree to continue the Estate & Asset Protection Planning Process together, we use the second half of our meeting to design your Estate & Asset Protection Plan together. In some circumstances, you are left with one or more items that you need to discuss among yourselves after our meeting. You may either update our team with decisions that you have made or schedule a follow up meeting to continue our discussion. Our purpose here is to design a custom plan that addresses the specific dangers, opportunities, and strengths that we covered during the first part of our meeting. While no plan is perfect in every particular, it is important that we agree to put a reasonable and comprehensive plan in place now, relying upon our ability to adjust or fine tune provisions in the future.
Following this meeting, we will provide you with a Client Engagement Letter, Terms of Engagement, and Invoice for the work we have performed in providing our Professional Evaluation of your existing planning, for the design we have prepared for the Estate & Asset Protection Plan, and for the legal instruments we will prepare to implement that plan. In the vast majority of cases we are in a position to provide you with a fixed fee for our services. Our Client Resource Coordinator will work with you to schedule a time for our Estate & Asset Protection Plan Review & Signing Ceremony. We generally plan for this meeting to occur 2 to 4 weeks following our Estate & Asset Protection Planning Visit.
